Bahrain negotiates LNG purchases from Gazprom, Rosneft
ABU-DHABI, Apr 20 (PRIME) -- Bahrain is in negotiations to buy liquefied natural gas (LNG) with Russia’s gas giant Gazprom and oil major Rosneft, Bahrain’s Oil Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa told PRIME on Thursday on the sidelines of a forum.
“Speaking of supplies of liquefied natural gas to Bahrain, we are holding negotiations on the issue with two Russian companies – Gazprom and Rosneft. Gazprom has more resources,” he said, adding that the first LNG terminal will be ready in the country at the end of 2018.
He also said that Bahrain is discussing cooperation in geological exploration with the two companies.
